Location, location, location

Local is better which is why all our projects are in the UK.  Our enhanced rock weathering project is in Northumberland, and we use basalt from a local quarry, work with local farmers, local academic institutions, local community networks and local contractors.

Responsibility begins at home and so our nature-based solutions will also be in the UK.  We aim to sell our credits to local UK corporate buyers and because our projects really deliver, we invite our buyers to visit anytime.

Principle over profit

We want to contribute to the collective rebuilding of trust in carbon markets. The recent introduction of high-integrity standards, such as the Isometric Standard, with prescriptive approaches to measurement, reporting and verification (MRV) is a big step in the right direction. Despite higher operational costs, the Carbon Bank is committed to delivering increased levels of rigour to help cement understanding of what ‘quality’ looks like.

Building market trust ensures investment capital flows more freely from corporates into creating quality environmental projects. At scale, these will create a positive impact on removing carbon from our atmosphere and reducing the effects of climate change.
